Design Research: Methodological Exchanges – 2020/21 (various dates) (Previous Staff-Led Events)

*Details for the 2020/21 events will be published in due course

A series of discussions and workshops on design research methods. The events are organised by the School of Architecture, Royal College of Art, and supported by the London Arts & Humanities Partnership (LAHP).

The events bring together different disciplines that use the same methods, but framed by different methodologies, or will discuss how the same problem is addressed through different methods and methodologies in different disciplines. We will specifically focus on design research in the context of spatial practices in the arts and humanities.

The methodological roundtables are open to all researchers, especially LAHP PhD candidates and early career researchers from our partner institutions.

Each of the thematic sessions will include presentations from three invited leading researchers within the particular field, as well as three early career researchers or PhD candidates whose research project is relevant to the methods discussed. PhD candidates at LAHP partner institutions who would like to present their work at any of the sessions are welcome to attend.

All non-RCA attendants must book a free ticket on our Eventbrite page for Design Research: Methodological Exchanges to gain access to the College. We will also regularly update participant and session details on the Eventbrite page.
