AI/ EDI Programme (organised by AHRC North West Consortium) – Call For Participation

This programme is organised by the North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership.

Calling All Arts & Humanities DTP-funded PhD Students!

Are you interested in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI)?

If so, apply for our training and skills development programme (January-June 2027) to explore how AI and EDI intersect with Arts and Humanities research and careers!

What’s in it for you…

  • Develop subject-specific AI skills relevant to your PhD and understand the different types and applications of AI within the Arts and Humanities
  • 16+ workshops and an event (online and in-person) on: AI skills for Arts and Humanities researchers and practice-based disciplines; the ethics and philosophy of AI; AI in teaching, research, and careers; AI, disability, inclusion, and wellbeing; and more!
  • Ongoing expert and peer-to-peer mentoring and support
  • Showcase opportunity: discuss your learning journey with key stakeholders (Directors, academics, and AI and EDI consultants) and receive a certificate of completion at the end

How to apply…

Email a 200-word expression of interest to lahp@ucl.ac.uk by Friday 20th November 2026 @ 5pm

No prior AI experience required: we just want a clear sense of your interest and motivation and how you anticipate this training will enhance your experience as a researcher and your overall career development.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome by Monday 21st December 2026, and the programme will begin one month later (Monday 18th January 2027).
