LAHP Student-led Training Network Fund

  • Do you have a research interest that is shared by other LAHP students in different disciplines or institutions?
  • Would some specific training in this area help to clarify it for you and develop your networks?
  • Would you like to be able to invite more senior researchers in this area to talk to you about it?
  • Would you like to set up an identity‑based or lived‑experience network to support a specific community and their wellbeing within the LAHP cohort?

If so, you might consider applying for support to develop a Student-led Training Network.

Aim

This fund is designed to support LAHP students to set up networks and organise associated training activities that complement the training and cohort development programme offered by LAHP. The scheme aims to enhance the research culture across the consortium by:

  • funding a series of events (including reading groups, seminars, visits and workshops) across LAHP institutions;
  • developing networks that benefit LAHP students but are open to all students in partner HEIs;
  • enhancing existing provision or developing new networks to benefit students and build connectivity across the consortium.

You can apply for up to £3,000 from this fund to support your activity.

Eligibility criteria

  • At least two current LAHP students must be involved in the proposal and organisation of the network.
  • You must nominate a ‘lead applicant’ for the purpose of the application, and the co-lead applicant will be invited to add their supporting statement to the application.

Before submitting your application, please read the guidance and terms and conditions of funding documents below.
