F I E L D t r i p : Regenerative Perspectives – Research Interventions in Art and Ecology

24.06.2026 – 26.06.2026

Supported by the LAHP Student-, Staff- and Alumni-Led Activities Fund.

A three-day, interdisciplinary research-trip, based in the Yorkshire Dales National Park engaging in collective physical practices across arts and ecological restoration, on sites of specialist interest – managed nature reserves, upland peatbogs, ancient woodlands.

The trip offers a distinct mode of cohort development which utilizes ecological restoration tasks, art practices materials and processes, to increase attention to, and engagement with, the surrounding environment. There will be opportunities for knowledge-sharing and space to engage in periods of reflection.

Students open to experimentation and engagement in new ways of learning, those interested in working outside of an institutional context and through collective, physical engagements in nature will find this opportunity most appealing. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary to participate fully in this project.

Particularly welcome are those who have limited experience of rural spaces and/or who are from communities less well represented in the countryside.

There are 13 places. We will be driving from London in a minibus and staying in shared accommodation in a well equipped, accessible bunkbarn.

Please fill out the expression of interest FORM by Friday 8th May 2026. If you have any questions please contact info@fieldwork-site.org

A commitment to participate will need to be made early on if offered a place – the sessions will consider the groups research interests in planning – this is a valuable, fully funded opportunity with limited spaces. If oversubscribed there will be a limited waiting list.
