Anxiety and the Remains of Thought

My research project explores the complex and decisive position of anxiety at the intersection of literature, psychoanalysis, and continental philosophy in the second half of the twentieth century. I am particularly interested in the way that these disparate yet mutually engaged discourses rely on the notion of fictionality and theories of literary space to foreground the contemporary significance of anxiety in any framing of the modern subject.
