The National Theatre
At the National, we make world-class theatre that is entertaining, challenging and inspiring. And we make it for everyone. We aim to reach the widest possible audience, to be open, inclusive and diverse, and as national as possible. We stage a broad range of productions in London and tour extensively across the UK. Our international activity puts some of the nation’s leading artists on the world stage, with productions playing on Broadway and touring across the globe.
HOW LAHP STUDENTS WOULD BENEFIT FROM A PLACEMENT AT NATIONAL THEATRE
A placement with the NT Archive would provide a student with access to our extensive collections ranging from the movement to found the National in the eighteen hundreds right through to records of the management of the Covid-19 pandemic. The student would be allowed access to company meetings and dress rehearsals where available. This would provide the student with insights into how a large arts organisation functions. The placement in a busy archive service would equip the student with workplace skills such as team working, collaboration, time management and self management. It may be possible for the student’s work to be disseminated via NT channels depending on Marketing approval.
