The A Priori

A priori knowledge is knowledge which is justificationally independent of experience. One’s view on it’s existence and scope is central to both one’s understanding of and methodological approach to philosophy. I am investigating new ways to make good the traditional idea that the a priori’s source is in what constitutes our qualifying as possessing concepts. It seems that to qualify as thinkers and as possessing concepts we must be prone to apply those concepts correctly. This could explain the reliability and of our basic intuitions and their potential to yield a priori knowledge.
