Praying for the Nation: Faith and Belonging in the Ukrainian Far Right

The role of faith within the political far right lacks scholarly attention in the Ukrainian context. Whilst organisations such as ‘Svoboda’ and ‘Right Sector’ have received global media coverage, the prevalence of religious belief within these groups remains understudied. This project sets out to fill this void in scholarship. Through fieldwork in various key locations across Ukraine, it will provide insight into the ideological motivations of the Ukrainian far right at a time when these groups are of crucial relevance to both domestic and global affairs.
