Common Law Constitutional Rights

I am trying to identify and assess a judicial trend which has materialized in the UK Supreme Court: the reliance on domestic common law rights instead of, or in addition to, the rights protected by the European Convention of Human Rights. This supports the common law constitutionalism theory and limits the premises of the ultra vires or Parliamentary Sovereignty theory.
