Collaborating for impact

More often than not, research impact – i.e. the difference that research makes to the world outside of academia – requires collaborations with non-academic partners. These collaborations may be of varying scales and formality. All will require clear understanding as to the benefits of collaborating and to the skills required for effective collaboration. This workshop will explore theories of collaboration to enlighten on the skills required and will present stories of collaboration – both of those that have gone well and those less so – so that participants possess the skills and mindsets required to maximise the likelihood of collaborations going well.
