Spatial, Morphometric, and Chemical analysis of the Middle Bronze Age British palstaves

This project will combine a number of quantitative research methods on a sample of Middle Bronze Age axes (palstaves) from Southern Britain to gain insight into the organisation of metalworking and the underlying structure of the society. I will be focusing on identification of small scale power centres and exploring how these relate to other contemporary sites and finds.
