Black Women's Digital Intimacies

This study examines the intersections of social media, gender, and race. It aims to examine epistemologies, practices, and the ways of being a Black women on social media. In studies concerning race and social media, little attention has been paid to how Black women navigate social media’s affordances for friendship-making purposes; thus, this project aims to fill this gap, centring Black women’s digital intimacies and practices online.
